Course Description
This is an upper level mathematics class that is intended for
the mathematically capable and motivated student. This course is designed to be demanding and
rigorous while rewarding. Students
must have successfully completed Algebra I and Geometry with a C or better to
be enrolled. The 3 main goals of the
course are to create independent learners and thinkers, connect the concepts of
algebra to applications in the real world, and to the learn the algebra skills
needed for Advanced Math studies. The
following topics will be covered: Factoring,
Systems of Equations, Inequalities, Quadratic Equations, Radicals, Complex
Numbers, Polynomials, Rational Expressions, Probability and Statistics.
